Concrete can be damp, and most of us know that water is public enemy #1 of solid wood floors. So we'll take moisture readings throughout the installation process, starting at the subfloor.
It's also necessary to affix a ¾-inch piece of plywood over the concrete. This can create height issues and problems with doors not closing correctly and may also make you feel a little closed if you have low ceilings. Finally, you'll have to think about the budget because adding plywood and a more involved installation process will cost more.
